"Sewing is an art and, as such, demands the discipline of an art. Bring to it desire, enthusiasm, and imagination, and it will give you in return a satisfaction that is unique: the joy of creating something that is truly yours." - Singer Sewing Book, 1972
I couldn't have said it better myself. I hope you are enjoying your weekend.
These older sewing books are just the best, aren't they? Hope you are having a great weekend too.
ReplyDeleteI so enjoyed working on my tab top drapes for breakfast sunroom over weekend. I felt the strings in my heart pull me back to my love of sewing. I am filled with joy to think that my youngest daughter and oldest too, are growing to love sewing too. I have a strong feeling that you will place well in that Amy Butler contest.

I'm drooling over this book, love great vintage books like this one. We bought an old old singer sewing machine at a thrift shop and I am in love with it. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteI think I have a book that looks a lot like that. It's three ring binder style. I love those old books.
ReplyDeleteHello Stephanie...I followed you here from a comment you left on my blog ages ago (I'm still getting the hang of this blogging and comments thing)...I love your blog...you photograph your creations so well, it is a pleasure to read. I look forward to coming back here in the future
