Healthy Heart Challenge

Did you know that February is National Heart Month? My gym at work is holding the Healthy Heart Challenge. The requirements: complete merely 30 minutes of cardiovascular exercise everday this week. As with most of my gym programs, I signed up! The prize (drawn at random): a $50 gift certificate to Dick's Sporting Goods. Just think of all the cute gear I could buy with that sweet prize. Of course, the real prize is just to get my butt motivated. I have a 10K event to run in 7 weeks and I am definitely not ready. So this is the week where I start getting serious about that training program I made for myself.

Now, internet, I am extending the Healthy Heart Challenge to you. That's right. Beginning today and running through Sunday, February 19th, I challenge YOU to get at least 30 minutes of cardiovascular exercise on at least five days this week. The prize (drawn at random): a $20 gift certificate to Stephanie Lynn Studio (opening soon...for real). How do you sign up? At the end of the week, or on your fifth day of exercise (whichever comes first), send an e-mail to: info@stephanielynnstudio.com. Write 'Healthy Heart Challenge' in the subject line and write "I did it!" in the body text. The winner will be drawn at random from all submissions recieved by midnight, February 19th and will be notified by e-mail. (P.S. This is strictly an honor system y'all, so I expect you all to be honest :).

So, come on, what are you waiting for! Get moving!

  1. Well, I didn't make it but I tried! It was soooo cold and windy here that I just hibernated! I did get a stress test though and my heart is a-o-k! Good idea on the challenge- I am going to try this week!
